[00:00:00] Across America, BP supports more than 275,000 jobs to keep energy flowing.
[00:00:09] Jobs like updating turbines at one of our Indiana wind farms and producing more oil
[00:00:15] and gas with fewer operational emissions in the Gulf of Mexico.
[00:00:19] It's and, not or.
[00:00:22] See what doing both means for energy nationwide at BP.com slash investing in America. But the other three we have not covered yet. And these cases are from Texas, Colorado, an interstate case, and Missouri. So we're going to be going all around and digging into some of these cases that have gotten some media attention lately. My name is Anya Kane.
[00:01:40] I'm a journalist.
[00:01:41] And I'm Kevin Greenlee.
[00:01:43] I'm an attorney.
[00:01:44] And this is the case involving a young girl, an 11-year-old girl named Audrey Cunningham. Last Thursday, back on February 15th, she did not show up for school.
[00:03:04] And that naturally caused alarm bells Brazoria County in Texas, and he pled no contest. So I just wanted, you know, he had two years in prison but ended up getting a lot of credit the time he already spent in jail. So in 2010 as well as 2019, he was also hit with two charges of aggravated assault with
[00:04:21] a deadly weapon. with authorities and he even pointed out that he actually went door to door to help conduct a search for Audrey. And what's interesting about that is Sheriff Byron Lyons, he did not necessarily see that to be an act born out of sincerity. Lyons told CNN, it simply tells me
[00:05:42] that McDougall is trying to give the appearance that he's not the fault in her disappearance.
[00:06:49] is so horrifying. I also underscores with this McDougal guy. I mean, I'll be curious to see what ultimate, you know, like the PCA and the evidence is against him. But it's
[00:06:53] certainly understandable why they're looking at somebody with his record and why they've
[00:06:58] arrested him. It seems like one thing that I always think of is whenever you have somebody
[00:07:03] going like protesting their innocence. So, you know we'd love two things mysteries and June's Journey. Say bon voyage to the everyday when you play this free to download
[00:08:23] hidden object game. June's Journey for Free today on iOS and Android. Our next story begins in New York. Some of the sources we used for this were Fox 5 and NBC 4. This story actually begins a few weeks back, actually on February 8 this crime is a man named Rod Almanzori. Can you tell us what he did after he allegedly fled Soho? So unfortunately, his spate of crimes continued according to police. He hopped on a flight from JFK airport to Arizona.
[00:11:03] Then he stole a car at knife point And one thing that is interesting is once he was in custody for the McDonald's attack, he admitted to it and then he started telling police that they should Google the Soho 54 Hotel, which again is the location where that woman was murdered. But it is very troubling to see that if somebody had been denied bail, then other horrible things would not have happened. And I think those cases need to be scrutinized because perhaps some violent accusations should carry more weight and perhaps bail or post-release monitoring systems should
